Print in place Hexagon Moving Robot
This is a hexagon shaped (it's actually an octagon but hexagon sounds better ;) ), print in place robot! Everything moves, the arms, the legs and the head! When printed it is strong and won't break easily.
The joints work fine on most printers, however they might not work if your printer isn't calibrated properly, or just doesn't have a very good tolerance.

The model isn't from anything in particular but looks quite cool as decoration or just a toy!

Instruction / Post Processing
To prevent the base of the arms falling over, I recommend printing this with a raft. Can be printed full size or bigger (If you are printing at normal size, and the joints are all welded, scale it up and try again), however it might not work if you scale it down too far.
Once printed, use a craft knife or something with a sharp, flat edge to gently take it off the build plate. The arms and legs might need to be pushed a little but should then snap into place and start moving.
If you print in PLA plastic then you should file or sand the top of the column that connects the head to the body, so that it fits into the hole underneath the head. This happens because of PLA shrinking so much, but it might also happen with ABS.
Can be printed in any material but it probably won't work with flexible filament. Once printed, depending on the material and infill percentage, but even with more brittle materials, such as Wood fills, it still is extremely strong and durable. It also doesn't require any support material.

The hole in the head was *far* too small so I had to drill it out. Other than that it printed great. Looks cool sitting on my shelf with my vases.
