Though sky taverns offer an experience regular taverns can’t offer, operating one can be a significant struggle. Due to limited contact with the ground, suppliers, and customers, any issues that arise can be difficult to address promptly. The lack of access to supplies on demand means that running a sky tavern can require greater investment in inventory management and planning, and fewer opportunities for making spontaneous changes to menus or offerings. Add to that the expense of sourcing ingredients and other necessities from remote locations, and the cost of running a sky tavern can easily skyrocket. Though, some taverns are able to alleviate their costs by locally sourcing goods. Additionally, maintaining the tavern structure and its equipment brings additional and unique challenges due to the difficulty of accessing materials in the air. Despite all these difficulties, however, those who run sky taverns take pride in their ability to provide people with extraordinary memories and experiences that last a lifetime.
