Story of the Iron Guard Collection

The city of Kovlova is ruled by Nickolai Kovalevski, and through propaganda and complete media control he has ensured that his people idolize him. However, behind the benevolent façade, Nikolai is hungry for power and domination. 

The Voda river runs down from the Staghorn Mountains and then splits into dual tributaries, running beside the two massive cities of Kovlova in the east and New Haven in the west (we have another STL collection with minis that focus on this location: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-154433). New Haven is the largest city on Exosia and is a long time rival of Kovlova. Between the cities lies a vast, flat tundra of oil reserves; the land is so rich that pools of dark oil litter the bare surface, giving rise to its name - the Blacklands.

The Blacklands have long been under New Haven’s control but Nikolai needs the extra fuel supplies to power his dreams of expansion. Sensing the time is right for war, Nickolai rallys the Kovlovan Army - generally referred to as The Iron Guard after his specialised troops - and marches for the Arteria Pipeline. Part of that army is Banka Vrach - an intelligent combat robot turned medic.

Banka started life as a combat android, built with an advanced AI and designed to fill out the ranks on the battlefield. However, he was always drawn to tinker with things in his spare time, figuring out how machines worked. This interest then spread to humans, and he began to observe the Kovlovan doctors and surgeons as well as read medical textbooks.

One day, his unit was attacked and many were injured, including their medic who was instantly killed. Banka stepped into action immediately, using his knowledge and the medical supplies available to treat the wounded soldiers, saving their lives that day. Upon their return to Kovlova city, he was awarded a medal for bravery by their leader Nikolai, and given the choice to become a permanent medic. Banka was overjoyed and has been the only Robot Medic in the Kovlovan Army ever since, with no other androids showing any interest.
