Description
The Firebird in Russian mythology is the main and practically only symbol of resurrection. In Western civilization, it corresponds to the Phoenix bird, which is reborn from the ashes again and again. Finding her is usually the goal of a fairy tale hero. Prey of the Firebird is fraught with difficulties and is one of the main tasks of the hero.
At the same time, "The Firebird" (fr. L'Oiseau de feu) is a one-act ballet by Igor Stravinsky, which premiered on the stage of Grand Opera in Paris on June 25, 1910.

Fantasic sculpture, I love the flowing robes and feeling of movement in this model. I had to reduce the size to fit the Elegoo Mars print bed, this in turn made some of the details extermely fragile (i.e. the billowing robes on the arms and dress); final height of this completed model is just 12 cm! When I eventually had a good set of prints I basecoated the whole model with a spray of grey primer then used gold enamel spray on the man and a chrome enamel spray for the woman. The base (which is FDM printed) was sprayed with black matt enamel. Once everything was dry I pinned the guy's foot to the base for added strength then added a drop of superglue to be sure. The join between the woman's waist and man's hands was an excellent fit and just needed a dab of super glue to hold everything in place. The final model looks stunning and will make a nice mother day present for my mum.
