This box is an extension of the previously released Geared Mechanical Dice Box. It uses the same design idea of a bottom and top sungear and 8 turning gear rods. However this time, the lid opens up with a tilting motion of the doors instead of a spinning motion.
Although the box is fully compatible with the Geared Mechanical Dice Box, due to the same dimensions of the box, the gear rods and the bottom sungear, every part has a different look. This means that you could combine different parts from this design with the ones from the Geared Mechanical Dice Box.
The download also includes a few different inserts to divide the contents of the box.
All parts are assembled without the need of any extra parts such as glue or screws, since everything is 3D-printed.
Note:
With some filaments, especially silk filaments (which have a sticky surface), the mechanism can be a little stiff. In that case I recommend adding lubricant to the contact areas of the gears and gear rods.

Dimensions of the assembled box:
- 140140x120mm
- the dimensions of the biggest single part is 132x132x87mm, so this will be the minimum printer build volume
• Print orientation is already correct and should not be changed
• Recommended layer height up to 0.25mm (0.2mm for best details)
• 5 perimeters for the gear rods, door gears and door pins, 3 perimeters for the rest
• No supports
• 20% infill
• 0.4mm nozzle

Came out well. Only wish gears had file that wasn't group of 8. I failed 3x and passed to much more experienced fella and he failed and had to ungroup them to print. But all in all great print.
