Forest Terrain for Battletech Alpha Strike
Included in this set are 18 flat forest tiles and 32 trees for the Battletech Alpha Strike rules. The tiles are 1.6mm thick and have slots for 5x1mm magnets so that the trees can be magnetically attached to the tiles. The purpose of this is so that trees can be moved out of the way as mechs and vehicles pass through the forest, and it also helps with packing up the set.
There are two types of trees included in the set, "Trees 1" are all needle pines and printed as a single peice. "Trees 2", are a mix of tree types that are printed in two parts and glued together. All trees are supportless.
Updates:
2025/05/26- I've added a couple of tree areas that are sized as single hexes for classic Battletech. There's a pair of straight edged hexes, and two pairs of hexes that have textured edges. Each pair includes one with a single hole for a single tree, and another with three holes for up to three trees. My intention is for the single holed hexes to be used for light forests, and the three holes to allow two or three tress for heavy forests. These are in the file "single flat hexes.zip".
2025/10/21-I've added some "burnt trees". They're basically defoliated and will rely on a lot of black, white and grey paint.
2026/04/24- There was a problem with two of the tiles, so I fixed those and rolled them and the burnt trees into a single zip file.

I combined several of the needle pines into one job and printed using Bambu A1 and two colors of filament. I'll add magnets tomorrow. Good little models, will work good for Alpha Strike. I like the magnet idea, it will make storage and transportation easier. Debating putting a wash on them or just using as-is.
