The White rides into the Darkness. Gandalf the White hurries Shadowfax to reach the survivors of Osgiliath before it's too late for them. Middle Earth is about good vs evil and light vs darkness, and with this piece I wanted to depict exactly that, focusing on Gandalf as a beacon of light against the ominous darkness of the Nazgul as they preyed on the knights of Gondor on the Pelennor fields. This is a physical miniature and comes from Games Workshop.
Slightly converted Gorath the Enforcer for the "Not-3D Printed" category of the Canvas Competition

My take on the Free Loot studios Dwarf :)
I printed and painted this scaled down 15mm Dwarf Emperor from Bite The Bullet on my Anycubic Kobra to proxy as King, my lvl 5 Dwarf Twilight Domain Cleric in my monthly DnD campaign. I chose this model because, as a Twilight Cleric, King specializes in AoE buffs and damage. While he does wear splint armor, the flowing robes over it helped sell his role as a spell-caster and follower of the Twilight Domain. Another reason I chose this model was at lvl 6, King will gain the ability to fly and I thought his pose and the robes could sell that idea. I magnetized the model and the base so I will be experimenting with using wire to pose him mid-air. As a battle-caster, he doesn't need to use symbols - so his weapon helps channel his spells, such as channel divinity abilities, spiritual weapon, and spirit guardians. This model was my first real attempt to combine OSL and some NMM. This was the first model I abstained from using any metallic paints. Along with the base, I tried to emulate a slimy/wet cave since we regularly find our party adventuring in such places. I also wanted focused on using texture techniques to help differentiate the smoothness of metal from the rough cloak and weathered skin.

A little and very sneeeaaky hamster also known as Teemo.
The War Turtle, a heavy flier for my ash waste nomads in Necromunda campaign. The beast is held aloft with the power of anti-grav plates, powered by plasma generators. The turtle file is from GHAMAK, the mount is made from platicard, with 40K orc bits kitbashed and gw nomads.

This page can be seen here: https://mara-comic.com/comic/01/17?lang=en I've gone with a vibrant, anime-inspired palette to match the source material.

Colonel Black O'Neal , known as the "Catachan Devil Tamer", leads by example. As his elite troops, the "Black Mamba", strike from the shadows of the foliage at strategic points, the Colonel jumps at the throat of the most imposing and armored prey, drawing the enemy's fire and attention, leaving his troops room to maneuver to reduce to nothing any hope of survival for the enemies of the 24th Contingeant of Catachans. Colonel print with STL "Spacenam 2.0" from "Reptilian Overlords". Base printed from the "Jungle Terrain Set" STL from "Cast N Play". Catachan devil printed with the STL "Hybrid Scorpion with Rider" from "Mini Monster Mayhem". Converted, assembled and painted with love and honor to represent the only true warriors of the 41st millennium. Remember, Catachans aren't picking their best warriors to become Space Marines. It's the best Space Marines who are taken to become Catachans! That's why Roboute Guilliman sleeps in Sly Marbo pyjamas...
Carynthyrrax, the Ash Wood An elder green dragon that has lived on the island since shortly after she hatched, she has for the most part kept out of the limelight, preferring to manipulate the civilizations around her forest against each other for her amusement while keeping her claws clean of direct confrontation. She earned the epitaph "Ash Wood" several hundred years ago when she ended up clashing with a powerful red dragon that encroached on her territory. A large portion of the forest was reduced to cinders before the red retreated and the citizens of the nearby city saw her fleeing back into the depths of the wood. Surrounded in a cloud of ash from her ruined home. She carries the scars of this conflict in great patches of burned flesh on her wings that have never healed properly. Since the encounter she has attempted to remain even more so out of the eyes of others, especially other dragons. All while plotting her revenge.

A friend asked me to paint his shapeshifting Legend of the Five Rings RPG character. We found this sculpt from Flesh of Gods that he said was exactly as he envisioned his character. Entry for Not-3D Printed category. This is my Beholder from Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures. Cork from a wine bottle was cut into pieces and added/painted onto the base to look like chunks of broken marble. The stone of the base itself was painted like quartz, and small bits of greenery were added to complete the look.
Entry for 3D Printed category. This is the Fire Elemental from Bite the Bullet. I attached the miniature to a 3in base, covered it in small and medium rocks, and painted it to have a feeling of scorched terrain. I used light and dark flame colors to accentuate the shape and form of the elemental.

This 3D Printed MAT-V from the Modern-Miniature.eu Patreon was a blast to paint.
Lootstudios dragonborn dragon slayer
This is my little goblin character for my Dnd campaign. I have been meaning to paint him for some time. He grew up poor in the slums of the city. He sports a nice "white" cape that has become quite dirty over the years. Some bright blue pants he stole off a sleeping guy once are still in somewhat good shape. Finishing up with his trusty swords which have slowly started to rust without proper maintenance.
I printed and painted this umber hulk mini with the intention of giving it a blueish stone color that would blend better in the dark, but if viewed in the light would stand out more.
Good day everyone. Here is some pin up dwarves from Artisan Guild i submit for the competition. Really like the lore behind their sculpt especially this one. The detail itself isn't really showing because my printer resolution isn't high so just hoping to get newer machine to upgrade my works. Thanks and cheers~

They are led by Boss Grimorkus, a Talky git that makes them want to WAAGH real good. This mini is a git that got bashed too'ard and tehy had to put him into a Redemptork. This is my custom made Lord Solar proxy. It started from my love of the Lord Castellan and his trusted colour sergeant, and my dislike of the horse guy GW put out. And so I custom build a base and kitbashed a bunch of mini kits from the Guard range together, (as well as hand sculpting the facing of the banner and Creed's face from Greenstuff), in order to bring a classic piece of artwork of Usarkar Creed and Jarran Kell to life. I hope you like it as much as I had fun building and painting it!

This metal (pewter?) Pathfinder Dragon sat unpainted on my shelf for over a decade until my fear of not doing it justice diminished enough that I felt confident enough to tackle it. And while not quite as good as what my imagination pictured beforehand, I am still quite proud of how it turned out, especially the veiny skin of the wings.

There was no time to react on the day it broke free from it's bonds. Moments after the snapping of chains echoed in the chamber it's bellow could be heard throughout the entire temple, silencing the cries of those who were first to get in the way of its rampage. We should have known better than to think we could contain the creature the island's people dubbed The Mountain King. All that's left of what was built are ruins, imprints of the beast's rage, and the rambling warnings of a lone survivor to never venture to the monster's territory lest others suffer the same fait.
My fully armed Battle Clanker from Voideyeminis
My first attempt to replicate stone
I finished this model, I'm satisfied with what I achieved here. 20 hours + gone in hard work. For the first time, I made the entire base by myself - I used cork placemats for warm meals from IKEA. It's not perfect when you compare it to professional works from competition and events. I achieved great progress in my opinion in my painting skills. I'm extremely happy that after 30 years of my life I'm finally fulfilling myself in something and it's make a lot of fun for me 😊. C&C welcome

Highway KS terrain by Kraken 3D studio https://www.myminifactory.com/campaigns/riders-of-the-highway-2679. It will serve as Zombie game Terrain. I wanted to render a contrast between a post apocalyptic scene and natural looking vegetation. Added Some few accessories to show survivors camp, printed on a phrozen sonic mini 8KS. The painting is a mix between standard acrylic paint , varnishes, and oil washes. I uses satin varnish to make the mud shine, and mat varnish to make the elements look more flat. some elements were added to the road to make it look older, as tire lanes. It took around 2 weeks to finish it.

Hello! I finally decided to enter the competition and don't be shy. Its the gobling king from the beloved creator Artisan Guild in the complete collection of Faldorn Goblins back in the 02/2023. Hope you like it. Best regards.
Simon, the pirate. Model painted for my sister who lost her parakeet last year. Use Simon's actual colorings for the paintjob. I loved painting this guy, and was really happy with the results. I unfortunately took a long time to decide what to do with the base. My original plan was to sculpt and print a tiny boat for him to stand on. My skill level in sculpting never got high enough for me to be happy with it and my sister came to visit, so I printed a premade base and painted that. Unfortunately the nice pics didn't have the base, but I included a 360 view with the base attached later. I didn't have time to take new pictures before I had to give him to my sister. When she got him, she immediately recognized him. Made me super happy.

The base is 3d printed on my Prusa Mini, with small bits on the base from expic basing again printed on the Mars 2 pro. There is some hand sculpting going on and i tried to give the feel that our elf friend is unhealthy, and a tad evil.

Mars Pattern Warlord Titan, from Forgeworld. This is one huge hulking behemoth of a miniature.
Be'lakor The Dark Master. One of my favorite models from the GW line and finally decided to paint this beautiful model, painted in different paint styles from drybrushing, glazing (as best as I could since I'm still learning glazing techniques), and traditional Games Workshop style of painting from the early 2000s to mid 2010. I wanted to test my skills on this magnificent model and i am extremely happy with the final result of this model. This is the largest model I have ever painted in my 14 years of painting miniatures, most of the ones I have painted are single character models from GW and some DnD miniatures. I'm still an amateur when it comes to painting miniatures but I'm still learning new techniques and adding more to my skills in the hobby. Thank you for your time and thank you for giving me this opportunity to show off my painting skills.
Persephone, to War mini with the female head option not the skull from Witchsong Miniatures Airbrushed as good as i can with acryl colors and shiftign paints from vajello , printed in resin

This piece highlights my first attempt at non-metallic metal (NMM) painting on the Mandalorian's armor, aiming to replicate the look of Beskar steel without using metallic paints. The scene is grounded in a desert environment, with Grogu adding a subtle contrast to the armored figure.
This is my Brutalis Dreadnought called “Restless Blade” a fallen Sword Brethren whose legends has it that he was a peerless daemon hunter of the Black Templars. His first gen dreadnought was damaged in battle was given new life once again in the emperors finest machine. Its machine spirit is set on fire with the wraith and zeal of the sword brethen inside. Model GW: Brutalis dreadnought.

"There are creatures from ages past that walked before men, and loathed them. Creatures representing nature's wrath itself, that hunted men that dwelled too far in ancient forest to use them for dark rituals" A 3D printed resin model of Orrin (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-orrin-317131) with a kitbashed grimoire, on a 50mm base with grout, candlesticks and skulls. I tarted by priming black and using white ink with an airbrush to prepare for the Object Source Lighting (OSL), then painted with acrylics by brush, and finished the OSL with acrylics and inks through an airbrush for the light sources and blue washes to enhance the shadows in the back.

Dark Elf Lineman
Not 3D Printed, Wood Elf Wardancer
The basing of the entire diorama is styrofoam hand engraved. The tree at the back of the cathedral is handmade. The trunk is designed by RiverCross Diorama (me), then 3D printed, and I attached Seafoam trees to the branches and sprinkled 2 tones of micro leaves. The building is a masterpiece from Loot Studios from the “Cult Of Hunger January 2022” release. I painted everything with acrylic colours from 4 different brands, Vallejo, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and Tamiya. I used Airbrush and different brushes. Many, many brushes! Let me know in the comments what you think of my work and I hope you enjoyed scrolling through the pictures. Cheers, RiverCross Diorama
My 3D print of The Krampus, by Lost Heresy Miniatures. Painted using standard techniques. The snow is a mix of PVA glue, white paint, and snow flock. For the drift I glued broken cork board pieces together before I added the snow.
I love to think an undead warrior spent a lot of time in the ground before getting animated by a necromancer... So, this has to be reflected on the paint job. Here is what I do with those squelettons, and this one has also some evil glowing weapon.
Here is my modest contribution for the competition, hoping you like it :) all metals, were made with the NMM technique the base comes from Titan forge I love the contrast of "nobility" of the figurine against the disgusting environment of the sewers My lord Ratmen on great beast from the One Page Rules range
“Weapons pounded against frozen earth in celebration. Fervent priests lit their congregations anew, igniting warmth in the hearts of ironclad warriors who longed for a leader. Captors and captives alike howled amidst the eldritch tundra, indistinguishable from the hissing of cracking ice. It was a chorus of war, of hope, and of terror. He had risen. The Faceless One. The Heir to the Old Gods. The Prince Who Will Ascend. A lord of many names, the King of the Choir had returned.” Warhammer Age of Sigmar - Slaves to Darkness Chaos Lord. Converted and painted by @fossil.painting
Bloodhunt Vampire from the Artisans Guild!
Nomad Prince
Female on dragon. Model from Karol rudyk.
The best model I ever painted - my Morathi transformed. I was going for vibrant colors while also trying to achieve a grimdark look. I painted her to challenge myself, though she has a purpose that is actually coming up now: She's a boss in my D&D campaign, a Matron Mother of the Drow. Hoping it'll be a jaw-dropping experience for my players! If anyone's interested in my other work, my insta name is @robse111
Beholder that my wife picked out for me to paint for her at our local hobby shop. She loves crazy colors so I went outside my norm. 😂
3D print I have dubbed King Richard 😂 I sculpted the crosses on his armor and his crown out of green stuff. Built the base up with cork board and little bricks. I used files to carve out the battle damage in his armor and on his face.
My entry for the 3D printed category. This is my first major attempt at a sheer veil on a bust.
Qulathis is on the run after her last encounter, still shooting at the enemies as she goes! (only basing is printed)
My T'au Stormsurge, standing on a Necron Doomsday weapon which it just destroyed. It's a standard GW model, nothing I printed myself.
"Old-love in a apocalyptic world" Post-apocalyptic survivors crew taking cover behind a old abandoned overgrown VW-Beetle
A proxy model for my favourite ork. Painted in Gamblin Artist Oils in a hybrid cel shaded style by @the_elder_medium, Mike Fairchild.
Grombrindal the White Dwarf, 500th edition model, bought from GW
A 3D printed diorama based on the game Elden Ring. It was a project i had wanted to make but never had the time, and this competition gave me some motivation to actually get it done. Attempted a few painting techniques here that were a bit out of my wheelhouse, but i'm pretty happy with how it came out. This model is my entry for the 3D Printed Category
A set of classic Chaos Space Marines from 1990 produced for the game Space Crusade by Milton Bradley. A pretty hard to find bit of old school Warhammer. I don't actually remember where I got them from. My set includes 2 Champions and 4 Marines. One of the Champions didn't have any weapon, and I didn't have it in my bits box, so to complete the model I added a bolt pistol that is from the same time period which I believe came from an Ork, as well as an old power sword that I think is from a Dark Angel squad. Painted in the Red Corsairs color scheme. A somewhat more basic model, but a pretty cool bit of tabletop gaming history. This is my entry into the Non-Printed category, the terrain is simply for show and is not a part of the entry.
Turtlekin travelling turtle by artisan guild
I painted this model from Nerikson to improve my NMM. Actually painted it 3 times - 2 in different NMM techniques and 1 in TMM to compare (with different colors for the wings, the others are blue and green). It's been a good study for me and I think the model turned out quite well, especially once I added the OSL. If you're interested in more of my work, check out my instagram account "robse111".

The Elemental Avatar by One Page Rules
"The king is dead, long live the King." A Warhammer 40k Ghostkeel proxy from Piper Makes I printed out along with the wreckage of a Riptide destroyed and rusted. I made this model as a joke about how the Riptide in the previous edition was the king and in 10th edition the Ghostkeel took over as one of the best models in the lineup.
Mortarion is, in my opinion, one of the best looking models out there. I had to try and do him justice with rust encrusted armor and standing in a swamp of toxic sludge and waste. He comes to spread the joy and love of Nurgle to all!
Bastet the Egyptian Cat Goddess by Jigglystix, painted by me.

Danger Girls Gipsy 13 by Papsikels Miniatures
This 3D print was a gift from a friend, and I painted it in my army's color scheme! Space Wolves are my favorite faction in Warhammer 40K. For RUSS and the Allfather! PS. Chaos is cool, too!
Hello! I know it's a 1-mini-per-entry competition, but you just can't have one Ninja Turtle. If I were to submit one, it'd be Leonardo, the blue one. A friend of mine printed these for me as a birthday gift! I had an amazing time painting these up, TMNT are my favorite thing on the planet! BTW, I submitted a Space Wolf bust. It didn't come to me that busts may not be allowed, so I'm submitting this one. Thanks, Claudio
BEHOLD! My masterpiece minis! I love Bestiarum Miniatures' designs his minis are so amazing! Also, y'all are awesome too and your minis are amazing too!
Yoken by Bestarium Miniatures Printed on a Creality Halot One and painted by myself, my art posted on Instagram as @Fogbankminis I have used a Zenithal prime, dry brush under highlights, then painted with a number of paints including speed-paints, Vallejo, Citadel, 30 year old chainmail, and blood effects. Photos taken on my Samsung A57, under my LED painting lamp at night (none of which are optimal). Unfortunately I do not have better images as after these were taken I used matt varnish to protect it, which unfortunately had gone bad causing frosting and white spots all over the mini. Yoken is to feature at Convergence TTRPG convention in Hamilton New Zealand as an elite enemy for players in my modified Mork Borg/Forbidden Psalms homebrew.
Raidd, from Bite the Bullet
Mr. Modulork Heavy Gunna with base from Zabavka Workshop. Size increased 1.5x. Super cool to paint!

Creality Halot-Lite Resin 3D Printer Model "The Mushroom Mage" by Warp Miniatures Base "Swamp Roots Base Pack (4pcs)" by CobraMode
This is "Sol Invictus", the leader of the mighty Imperial Knight House Valence. Piloted by the mysterious Lord Valence it is said that one will loose oneself in the void of it's armor when looking at it. The unique apocalypse-centaur chassis has slayn demon princes and evil warmachines alike with its multitude of weaponry, the mightiest being its warhammer "Godslayer".
Bastion from Judgement Eternal Champions!
This is one of my favorite works I have created, the Chasmosaurus is a resin model airbrushed paint job. This photographed picture is my attempt at using “forced perspective photography”. This technic was used in the original King Kong of 1933. Was all shot in my photography room. I hope everyone enjoys this creation.
My Entry is the Screaming Antelope from KDM boardgame with a custom base that was 3D printed. It was painted in a combination of acrylic and oil paints.
KDM’s white lion was my first KDM model ever painted. So I am extremely happy with my interpretation of the GIGALION! I had a lot of fun with this absolute unit of a monster and wanted to create an eerie and weird atmosphere.
I’m fascinated by the vibrancy of the craftworldstudio ’s box arts. So I gave myself a push and attempted this bust in Craftworld style. I love the attitude and grimdark vibe of bestiarum.miniatures’s Blagomir the silent, or silent Blarg as I tend to call him.
Teutonic knight grand master from the Northern crusades store range
Jack Skellington - painted over Labor Day weekend
The Vargheist from Cursed City with an added scenic base displaying 3 standards, a full moon, a blood chalaice and a the sigil displayed on the official model art of the Skeleton. This piece is called Lightbringer. A mythical winged Lion watched a poor woman toil to bring light to the world untill one day he swooped down and carried her to the highest peak of the highest mountain so her light could be seen by all the world.
*Title:* This is my entry for the contest: a figure from Artisan Guild that I recently painted. I worked on this piece with inspiration from a cold environment, imagining a war in a hostile and frozen land. The figure was 3D printed and painted with acrylics, highlighting the rawness and ferocity of the orc warrior and his battle mount.
Orc Executioner by Bite the Bullet. Printed in resin with elegoo mars 2 pro.
Cactus Jack doesn't say much. He'd rather speak with actions than words. When something needs doing, he gets 'er done. Even the unsavory task of digging the late Sheriff's grave.

A cool Viking model by Loot Studios, printed in 32mm scale. This is my first model in this scale, and while it's not quite completed yet, I'm quite pleased with how it's going, especially painting cloth texture.
Not-Printed Submission; giorno giovanna from the MAFIArte line. Designed to stand on its own so, functionally has no basing.
3D Print Submission - Tigerskull Miniatures Marksmen of Cursed Death.
This is Ishan the high mage of the StormWolf Army just before the battle of Snnadria.
Goddess of Rot from elden ring
This is Terra, the earthen otter monk. This was a random paint challenge with: Theme - Mystery, Primary color - yellow-green, Secondary color - brown. The goal was darker and subdued tones, as well as the sideways glance and half smirk, for the Mystery theme. The base was an attempt at water flowing over shale rock, but not sure it turned out that way. Hope you enjoy!
The Bell Tower Guardian A kitbash of parts from Adamant Arsenal's Vile Corrupted with a cube head from Apocrypha Now's #yellowcube. Terrain boxes from Custom Miniature Maker, all other terrain handmade.

My take on Areelu before I knew she was a Demon from a pathfinder game. She is my dragon queen, and my first 3d print as I'm new to the hobby.
Ahoy Mates!! It's time to count the loot!
This is my "Black Templar"-themed Imperial Knight sculpted by Blackrock Miniatures. My goal for this model was to capture a slightly warmer-toned version of the Black Templar theme on a proxy for Canis Rex. The lighter armor panels were airbrushed to blend Khaki with Ivory and white. The model is trimmed in Bronze, which not only matches my army but is more befitting the Adeptus Mechanicus's treatment of Knights as holy relics of war. Blues were used on the primary weapon and in the armor of the Necron to contrast the relatively monochromatic nature of Black Templar armies per se and to provide a "cooler" color contrast to the candles on the model, which also gravitate towards warmer tones. Finally, I based the model on an industrial base, which honors the Black Templars' unique aspect in that they do not have a homeworld and are instead Fleet-Based. Finally, while not particularly relevant, this model represents a personal record in terms of size and hours spent on painting since returning to the hobby a month ago. I have not played or painted Warhammer 40,000 since 3rd Edition. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Artisan guild sculpted and printed on my anycubic using eco resin. One of the paint jobs in recent times that I am most happy with. Lots of room for improvement but compared to where I started this model is where I realized I have improved

Aaaaah, fresh meat! - The Butcher
My non-printed entry the champion unit for my friends combat patrol, not the best paint job but for the time I had I’m very happy. The basing I hope conveys some story. With the rest of the combat patrol all together I guesss it would look better.
Daddy Shark: In addition to the regular base there is an electronic add on base with a light activated audio playback of a custom file starting with the Jaws theme and just as it climaxes it starts into Daddy Shark. Just scary enough to terrify your players before the comic relief kicks in.

Dark Forces. This is my personal homage to 1995 Dark Forces video game and it's box artwork. The main idea was to represent a stormtrooper inside a ship or facility and after much thought I decided to set the figure in the Death Star prison block AA-23. The miniature comes from Dark Fire Designs and was upscaled to measure around 60mm. The prison block module was also printed in resin and comes from Charveys3d. The blaster shot is just a slightly sculpted piece of plastic and it's the center piece of the whole painted OSL. Everything was painted with a mix of acrylics, oils and pencils, using both brush and airbrush.
