I’m gonna admit something, this isn’t the best I could do. I had to make do without any proper green colors when painting them, which is why they look a little yellow. Still, these gals have a special place for me since they’re my first exposure to BattleYak. I first saw them and thought of D’vorah from Mortal Kombat, specifically the bald ones. I loved how ugly, vicious, and horrifying they looked and decided to print out all the more insectoid heads. I honestly feel bad for my own gals that I kitbashed and sculpted who have to fight these things because I can easily see them using their mandibles to chomp down on them if the spears don’t work. Overall, they have such intense personality and I really liked that. The other thing that really sold me on them was the shape. I liked that they look like they have exposed breasts but not really. I was debating whether to paint nipples on them but decided against it. I thought it would be best to keep the vaguely insectoid aesthetic on these things. Really emphasize that these are creatures who only look humanoid but aren’t.
