Being Mennesker’s Town Crier is an honor
amongst the population. When someone is cho-
sen, they immediately receive the honor of being
knighted and made into a sir. This tradition comes
from the Lyrian Empire. When Lyria was a tiny
town, an invading force of marauders from the
north had made its way undetected, and was ready
to raid Lyria.
At that moment, Coralinus, a failed singer and
shepherd who was heading into town, spotted
the invaders and, using his loud voice and a bell,
raised the alarm, allowing his fellow townsfolk to
raise the town’s defenses and fight off the threat.
After that incident, Coralinus was made the first
Town Crier.
