Where gears and stars align
Unlocked as a Stretch Goal in the campaign, Guardia’s Observatory is one of the most ambitious buildings in the entire set — a towering dome of stone and gears, crowned with a massive rotating telescope. Every floor is alive with detail: the Celestial Archive where astronomers chart the heavens, the Gearworks filled with tools and blueprints, the Rotators Level where the whole tower shifts and turns, and finally the dome itself, where the telescope can be aimed at any corner of the night sky.
I designed this piece to push what’s possible in 3D printable terrain: the top floor rotates, the telescope tilts, and the inner mechanisms are all modeled with layered detail for your players to explore. I even included LED slots so you can bring the Archive to life with a soft glow.
This model is perfect as a centerpiece on the table — whether your adventurers are here to study the stars, uncover forgotten prophecies, or stop an enemy from turning the Observatory’s secrets to darker ends.
Maps included for each floor, with points of interest and references (.png and .pdf!).

A work in progress and not 100% finished. Then again, I am horribly color blind, so hopefully my color scheme isn't too bad. Dalla Croce Studios always designs great pieces and the observatory is definitely worth printing and painting. I used X1C and H2S and mainly PLA Matte.
