Description
This piece was restored in 1775 and it was placed in Villa Albani, Rome, as a decoration.
The relief could be found at the base of a statue depicting Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, medicine, the arts. She was worshipped in Rome along with the other two Capitoline gods Jupiter and Juno.
