I wanted to do something creative with these. Artisan Guild makes some great stand alone pin-ups but I always wanted to make a unit of 5, at the very least. But, I needed to mix up the pose between minis. So, that’s what I did. Because the arms are segmented, I was able to just snip the forearm and reattach at an angle, giving me a new pose for the spear woman. I also tried a bit of NMM with the blades. I also wanted to paint them the same way Artisan Guild colored them in the WIP photo but I decided to make the boobs “fleshy.” As for the sculpts? I love them. I love the sexy proportions and how the texture informs what’s hardened carapace and what’s exposed flesh. This is also the first time I ever used a true orange and I have to say, it looks REALLY good. I also didn’t paint nipples on the boobs because I didn’t want to ruin the look and making the nipples just lighter skin makes them look more alien. Overall, this is right behind Hiskra for my favorite AG pin-up.
