Introducing the Tasty Springos Pack No.1, the solution to all your 3D-printed, food-based, spring-toy needs! This pack contains a large assortment of fruit and vegetable Springos derived from 3D scans. This pack includes the following models :
- Apple - full & half scale; with or without supports
- Banana - full & half scale; single part and two part versions; supports required
- Bell Pepper - full & half scale; single part and two part versions; with or without supports
- Pineapple - full, half, and quarter scale; no supports
- Pumpkin A - medium & large scale; with or without supports
- Pumpkin B - medium & small scale; with or without supports
- Pumpkin C - large, medium, & small scale; with or without supports
- Jack-O-Lantern - large, medium, & small scale; dual and single color versions; no supports
- Pumpkin Squash - full & half scale; with or without supports
I got the best results printing with 3 outlines/shells, 0.15mm layer height, and enough solid top & bottom layers to make the spring part solid infill.
After printing, carefully separate the coil using a thin spatula, palette knife, butter knife, etc. Work slowly and with caution, especially if you are using sharp tools!

*note:* These Springos can be very large and complicated models. Slow computers may struggle with the springo part on some of these. There may also be tiny 'holes' that can prompt errors or warnings, but I have sliced these files without issues using Simplify3D and Cura. Results may vary with other slicers. Please share your experiences good and bad so I can continue to improve. Thanks ☺︎

Springos pictured were mostly printed using MatterHackers PLA, which results in a fairly resiliant Springo!

Here are some pictures I printed out the pineapple top with no fan to get some strings like the real ones. It also glows in the dark on top and under a black light the bottom really glows.
