Trazar Xiong, the ancient monkey demon, moved through the dense forest with the slow grace of someone who had seen centuries pass. His back was curved, his fur grayed, and his gnarled staff clinked against the ground with every step. His companion, an owl perched on his shoulder, her eyes ever-watchful, mirroring his own deep and wary gaze. Trazar’s staff, carved with ancient runes, pulsed with a quiet energy, reminding all who crossed his path that despite his frail appearance, he commanded powers as old as the forest itself. Together, they wandered the hidden paths, their silent presence a shield against forces that sought to disrupt the forest's balance.
One misty evening, Trazar felt a disturbance—a shadowed presence encroaching upon the heart of his beloved woods. With a soft hoot, Irlith alerted him to figures moving through the undergrowth. Trazar raised his staff, its runes flaring with a greenish glow, and the forest seemed to breathe and respond to his silent call. The intruders found themselves disoriented, their paths shifting, until they faced Trazar himself. With a wave of his staff, he cast them back, the earth trembling beneath his power. As the last of them fled, Irlith ruffled her feathers, and Trazar’s gaze softened, his wrinkled face breaking into a knowing smile. The ancient forest, once more, remained untouched.
