Printing Details
In order to minimise the effect of layers on sensitive parts such as the eyes and face in general, we recommend printing the booknook standing up with the help of supports.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to save time and material, then printing it lying down on the floor is the best choice.
For optimal performance we recommend:
- 0.12 height layers
- 6-7% gyroid infill (at least)
- tree supports (from each point)
- enabling ironing on the top surfaces
The product shown was printed with a Bambu X1C with the above settings.

Object Parts
I painted this in stages to optimize my photoshoot process. First I printed it (duh) in black. Took pictures. Then I made a grey-green paint and did a liberal drybrush to give it a stoney texture. Took pictures. Then I primed and painted it live on TikTok. I like a collaborative process with the people who join, so with input from them I just went to town! I used a metallic purple for the fingernails and added a color shifting top coat to give them a bit of a glimmer. After that I sealed everything, then used a gel nail polish on the eyes and nails to make them pop. It was a lot of fun!
