This one really inspired quite a bit of curiosity. I wasn't sure if I actually wanted to print it or even then, how would I paint it. But, funnily enough, the inspiration for the paint scheme came from the name Artisian Guild chose for their sexy dragon lady "Onyixa." So, clean black with bluish grey it was and I am quite happy with the results. The Broodguard herself has got a nice chonkiness to her and is just the height. Sure, the wings are small compared to her body but I'd rather have them look too small than being these huge, dominating, distracting things that overhang the mini by a lot. I also appreciate that there are two NSFW options for her: breastless and with boobies. A good way to satisfy both the super "biologically accurate" purists and the people who can just have fun. You can guess which I chose. I love the way the scales softened around the breasts; I think it's brilliant and that more should try to mimic the look. It makes it look like the boobs are just a part of her natural biology and not just slapped on her. I also really liked the posing on her, too. That strut, the hand on hip and the almost unimpressed expression really sells the whole "dommy mommy" look. Then, there's the face, which kinda reminds me of a Pokémon. Overall, just a great, sexy, fantasy dragon woman that I'm really happy to have finally gotten around to printing and painting. Contrast paints, once again, really helped make it happen. It's perfect for scaley bodies like this, although, I did have to clean up some of the blotchiness, particularly for the chest. The only thing I did change was the base. I felt like that original base was a little busy and too distracting. I also wanted a light colored base to make the black and greyish blue of the Broodguard stand out more. Anyway, highly recommend if you've got a traveling bard with an obnoxiously high charisma stat or a talking donkey.
