The stretch goals for our Type S Scout/Courier are now feature complete with the addition of Albin's assorted cargo. This means that while we still need some more documentation for the 15mm version of the Type S, and there might be an issue or two that we have missed with the files (please let us know if you find something), in general, the Type S stretch goals are now completed and all STL files are available.

On to the cargo!

As usual, Albin has outdone himself, with a variety of cargo, most of it too large for the Type S to take in its standard configuration, although we wanted to future proof for the Beowulf and additional ships in the future!

In addition to this, Albin has also made some variant partitions from the 15mm files, allowing integrated doors and walls for those having trouble with resin printing. We may eventually add a doors only variant, but we will see! These files can be found in the new version of the Type S stretch goals under the partitions folder.

Speaking of the 15mm...

15MM LANDING GEAR

Albin has also combined the parts of the 15mm landing gear to make it more friendly to people wanting to print in FDM with a 0.4mm nozzle. These parts will still require supports, but will be much more stable and ready for printing.

Please note, we have yet to test print these.

We still need to get some documentation made up for the 15mm version. We anticipate this being possible later in the month.

CHARACTER MINIATURES

We turn our attention then to the outstanding miniatures - and there is progress even on this front.

The missing poses have been delivered after a slight delay due to the massive success of Papsikel's recent Kickstarter. We will be getting to the commissioned files perhaps as early as next week.

And finally, our announcement of our upcoming Kickstarter, which will introduce 1:270 and tactical scale miniatures for use on your tabletop, a far more practical and hopefully widely appealing addition to the market. We have collaborated with Traveller veteran Ian Stead to bring a line of seven miniatures to market (and you can bet a ton of stretch goals), this time on our more traditional Kickstarter miniatures.

While we will be offering the Type S and other miniatures featured in this crowdfunding campaign for those who have yet to pick them up, fear not, there is a MMF Backer New Stuff only pledge version just for you guys. The base pledge price will be 25€.

BETA CENTAURI

I have been at work on the Beta Centauri, which is now 50% fully printable. Here is a fancy render.

And here are some pics of the printed version I am working off (with some parts I had lying around for the top). I have a 40 hour print on the bed now to run over the weekend.

You can get a good feel for the size from these images. I love this design, and it is taking longer than expected just because I am increasing the original fidelity of the Beta quite a bit. Anyway, that is it for now, it is Friday evening, so time to head home to the missus and crack open a cold one! Cheers!
